First Plate from Pottery Class

This is the first of two bowls I've made in my pottery class. I've been warned that the paint job might not work. This is because the first layer of what's called 'wash' is white, there is blue in some areas, and the black dominates. However, once it's baked, it might not keep the visible colours. The teacher mentioned that a chemical reaction will take place while baking, and the colours may not remain the same. I have yet to see what will happen, and am unsure when I'll get to see. In any case, we'll see.
